Super Mario 64 - Secret Star 6 and the Vanish Cap Under the Moat Video Walkthrough
In the basement, go to the door without the star in it, jump in the pool, and swim until you reach another cavern with 2 pillars in the water. Stomp both pillars to drain the water, uncovering the secret entrance to the course.
Collect 8 red coins along the way, then hit the blue Vanish Cap switch and collect the star.
